Knee pain and cbd topicals

Do CBD topicals work for knee pain?

Looking for a way to reduce knee pain and discomfort is something most people deal with. It can really impact your comfort throughout the day.

Trying to find some sort of way to feel better can feel difficult, but with the right information it isn't as hard as it seems.

Thankfully there are lots of different ways to address knee problems. Some are obviously more expensive than others such as surgery.

Should I get surgery?

For a lot of people surgery isn’t even an option. Either it's too small of an injury for surgery, possibly your insurance has denied your claim for coverage or you just plain old cannot afford it.

The average cost of arthroscopic knee surgery in the United States without insurance is $11,250.*

Obviously you should confirm these average prices with your own insurance company but as an overall average you can see how expensive it can quickly become. Plus we did not even discuss the amount of time off you would need from your job for recovery after the surgery which will most likely cost you more money. Mainly because you are not making an income during this time so you would need to save up before this planned time off or you could just eat the loss of income. That will still cost you money either way.

When using a topical in place of surgery it is definitely just a temporary fix over a permanent{for the majority) fix. One of the main draws of this is you spend way less money. It will only cost a few hundred dollars over a year or two versus thousands.

A hemp derived CBD topical is a great option.

They typically have NO thc in them and any respectable company will have its lab testing results available for you to see on their website or as an information sheet at your local cbd shop. Make sure they show what the ingredients are and whether or not they use Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum Cannabidiol derived from hemp.

A full spectrum product will have small amounts of thc in it up to 0.3%. While a broad spectrum product will typically have 0.00% of thc or very close to none at all.

Many options are available for CBD topicals. The most popular product types are salvescreams or lotions. The ways they are presented is basically endless.

Why should I try a CBD topical?

A topical can help give you localized support against muscle discomfort, pain, muscle fatigue or stiffness and joint issues. Dealing with knee pain sucks and with CBD topicals you will not experience any adverse side effects you would get from taking pills regularly. For instance one side effect I personally had was real bad stomach and liver pains. A big pass on that.

How long do they last?

It is for temporary localized relief, but most will wear off their beneficial effects between 1-4 hours. Although, depending on the brand and the way it is made. You could feel its effects for up to 12 hours and sometimes even more.

For example, at Scott's Essentials we use chilli seed essential oil in our hemp derived CBD topicals and in certain products such as this one.

Chili seed essential oil has the ability to warm back up in the area you applied the topical too. The reason is when you get physical and sweaty doing a project or even vacuuming the carpet your skin's pores open up to release sweat to cool you down and the chili seed oil basically gets reactivated when it gets back into your open skin pores. Creating the warm heat feeling that helps loosen muscles and your joints so they are not as tender.

How much do they cost?

That depends upon what kind of topical you get. You should expect to pay anywhere between $5 to $80 and of course that also depends upon the size and brand you decide to go with.

Will I test positive for a drug test?

You will not test positive for a drug test that is looking for THC in your bloodstream. Use of hemp derived topicals will not give you a positive result. The short explanation of it is that the CBD will not go deep enough into your skin to enter your bloodstream. It will only get deep enough to effect the nerves, joints and skin. Which makes them perfect for anyone who has a drug test job. For instance, at a government or construction job you are very often required to be tested every couple of months.

I don't know where to get any

It is pretty easy to get CBD products these days. Most people place an order online with a trusted CBD manufacturer or are going to a local shop. You can even find brands like Charlotte's Web at Rite Aid or Walgreens.

If you decide to use a CBD topical to help support you from knee pain and discomfort. Please do a little research on the products you are interested in, this will help you save time and money on not buying a worthless product.

Talk to your local CBD shop and ask questions. I'm sure they will be helpful in finding you a good product. Ask what other people have been using for knee pain. I almost guarantee they will have a suggestion or two. If not, now you have someone to chat with about this problem.

When picking one out please remember to not rush and buy from a quality company. If they look too good to be true, then they definitely are.

If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas you want to talk about please leave us a comment. We would love to hear from you
